Photographing the places and
projects that matter

I'm Hubert Sarnandt — a photographer, filmmaker and founder of Impact Aperture AB, based in Malmö, Sweden.
My work takes me from real estate shoots in Sweden to destination projects in the Amazon rainforest. What travels with me to every assignment is the same approach: careful preparation, genuine curiosity, and the ability to read people and adapt quickly.
I've learned that how you show up matters as much as what you shoot. I want my clients to remember not just the images, but the experience of working together. What I bring to every assignment is careful attention to light, an understanding of space, and genuine curiosity about the places and people in front of my lens.
Over the years I've worked across a wide range of contexts — photographing properties for leading real estate agencies in southern Sweden and documenting destinations and impact projects in Brazil. I've travelled extensively across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia — both for work and out of a lifelong interest in how places look and what they mean.
That experience informs every image I make. Most of my client relationships are long-term, built on consistent work and straightforward communication. Whether you're a real estate agent, a tourism operator, a destination organisation or an NGO with a story to tell — I'd be glad to hear from you.

Real estate photography that makes your property stand out
A property's first impression happens online, before any viewing. I work with real estate agents across Skåne — in Malmö, Lund, Trelleborg and the surrounding area — to produce photographs and video that communicate the quality of a home clearly, warmly, and honestly.
My workflow is straightforward. I collaborate with Diakrit, which means post-production, colour grading and delivery are handled professionally and consistently.
What I bring to each job is careful attention to light, an understanding of space, and the kind of easy communication that makes clients feel comfortable opening their home to a camera.I've worked with some of the leading agencies in the region over several years, and most of my client relationships are long-term. If you're an agent looking for reliable, high-quality photography, I'd be glad to hear from you.

Investing in the places that need it most.
Photography has always been, for me, a way of paying close attention to the world. That same instinct led me to co-found Impulse 4 Development — an initiative focused on sustainable impact investment projects in Brazil. Together with partners in the Santa Catarina, Amazon rainforest and Bahia, we develop projects that support local communities, protect natural ecosystems and create responsible tourism opportunities.

Stories from the field

Amazon Rainforest, Brazil
In 2019, I documented a the partnership between Impulse 4 Development and a local NGO working in the Amazon rainforest. The work focused on visually documenting collaboration on the ground — the people involved, the environmental context, and the realities of working in one of the world’s most sensitive ecosystems. Photography and video were used to support transparency, communication, and long-term understanding of the project’s environmental and social dimensions.

PETAR - Alto Ribeira State & Tourist Park.
Located approximately 350 km southwest of São Paulo, PETAR (Parque Estadual Turístico do Alto Ribeira) is one of Brazil’s most significant protected rainforest regions. Known for its extensive cave systems — each with distinctive geological and ecological characteristics — PETAR offers a rare intersection of biodiversity, scientific research, and carefully managed adventure tourism.

Cocoa Farms in Bahia
Located in northeastern Brazil, the state of Bahia is known for its cultural history, Atlantic coastline, and remnants of the Atlantic Forest biome — one of the world’s most biodiverse and threatened ecosystems. In southern Bahia, cocoa cultivation has long been integrated into the forest landscape through traditional agroforestry systems known as cabruca, where cacao trees grow beneath a native forest canopy.
